Joined Marks & Worth in 2021

After a stint together at a law firm in the early 2000s, Jane was once again drawn to join Stephanie and Sally at Marks & Worth in 2021. While she’s been involved with law since 2002, Jane took a 10-year break from 2009-2019 to pursue academic roles and complete a PhD.

Growing up with a lawyer father practising in a similar area to the one she’s now in, she vowed to be original and not follow in his footsteps. But midway through her first year of Law at University, she began appreciating why he’d been drawn to the profession.

When not exercising her legal brain, you’ll find Jane hill walking or mountain biking among spectacular Otago scenery – followed by a decent coffee afterwards! Typical weekends see her on the side-lines at her sons’ Saturday sports games, or being a ‘Mum taxi’. Then, as Monday rolls around, she’s always keen to get back to the office with its variety and opportunity to work with ‘truly terrific colleagues and clients’.
